How to Maximize a Small Closet
Small closets often lose capacity through unused height, a single rod and shelves that do not match their contents.
Use vertical space
Double hanging creates two clothing levels where long garments are not required. Higher shelves can hold seasonal items.
Choose adjustable components
Adjustable shelves allow the closet to change over time. Drawers may reduce the need for separate furniture in the bedroom.
Respect the opening
Components behind walls or door returns may look efficient on paper but become inconvenient. The usable opening must guide the design.
